NMA rejects doctors sack letter
The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has told all resident doctors to reject their termination letters.
The President of the NMA, Dr Kayode Obembe, gave the directive today at a press briefing in Abuja. “NMA hereby directs that no doctor should accept or collect any sack letter or sign any register opened by the government or her agents (hospital),” he said.
Dr Obembe further directed that no medical doctor should pick up any locum appointment with government hospitals, adding that any doctor who flouts the order does so at his/her own peril.
He however urged doctors to be committed towards containing the outbreak of Ebola in the country.
